Many say that Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has split with wife Ludmilla and is all set to marry 24 year old, young and beautiful gymnast Alina Kabaeva.
So who is Alina Kabaeva? She is a young, beautiful 24 year old gymnast who is an MP. At the age of 15, she won the old medal in the 1998 European Championships. In 1999 she secured the world title was the favorite to win at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. But, she dropped her hoop and it rolled off the carpet and thus had to go home with only a bronze.
A newspaper also claimed that the Putin and his wife have separated and divorce came in February. As the story or rumour was being circulated, it claimed that Putin was seeing having an intimate dinner with Alina Kabaeva in a city centre restaurant earlier this year.
Whatever the truth maybe, lets wait and watch.
The news was leaked by a Moscow tabloid which reported that Putin, 57 is head over heel in love with beautiful Kabaeva.
Meanwhile, a Russian website also alleged that the pair was seen sharing an intimate kiss in a Moscow restaurant earlier this year. The rumours became more piquant after Kabaeva was appointed as the MP.
The pretty athlete is a known face in Russian sports circle as she has won the gold medal in the 1998 European Championships at just the age of 15 and her success is marked till date.
Earlier in 2008, when it was speculated that Putin is dating Kabaeva, the Prime Minister had come forward to dismiss the reports and quoted, “here is not a single word of truth in it.”
Now last night, Kabaeva’s father was quoted as saying, "If she marries such a man it will be great. He's quite similar to me."
